Port Nimara was deliberately chosen for Anguilla’s proximity to Sint Maarten and St. Barths, creating a complementary three-island yachting destination. While Sint Maarten offers extensive technical services and St. Barths is known for its lively social scene, Anguilla provides a more private, relaxed, home-like experience for yacht owners.
Developing Port Nimara has also required close collaboration with the Anguillan government, as the island previously lacked significant yachting infrastructure. The project is seen as bringing an entirely new maritime industry to Anguilla, creating jobs and training opportunities for locals in yacht operations, provisioning, and hospitality. Beyond tourism, Port Nimara is therefore positioned as a long-term economic opportunity for the island and its community.
